Freedom Friday Thought: Choose what doesn’t always make sense…
So I went to the store to find a planner. When I walked to the section I saw an entire collection called “Ashley G”. I knew I HAD have one. This was DIVINE intervention. The problem was that none of the journals were appealing to me. But I picked up one that I kind of liked.
However, after searching for 5 minutes trying to find “the one” I saw it. Sitting so vibrantly colored calling my name. The only problem was that it wasn’t from the “Ashley G” line. I stood there conflicted. Feeling drawn to the vibrant flowers, but insisting that I couldn’t walk away from the one with my name on it…
SO I bought both and decided that I would return the one I didn’t choose.
The moment I opened the one with the flowers I knew it was the one for me. Why? Because right inside the cover were several coloring pages. Now if you know me, then this calls to every part of my being! 
Then it hit me. I knew at first glance that the planner with the vibrant colored flowers was IT! But I chose to not listen to my inner voice because of what I thought I “should” do or what made logical sense.
How many times do we make decisions that don’t honor what the voice inside says? How often do we chose merely because of what we told ourselves we should be doing. Only to realize what we really wanted was in a completely different direction?
Well today I say choose YOU! Listen to your heart! This is true Freedom! Don’t ignore it even if that chose doesn’t make logical sense. Maybe just maybe when you open the pages of that chapter it will all be clear.
